Based on my work as a board member of the World Energy Council's Future Energy Leaders programme, this interactive dashboard visualises the WEC Trilemma Index 2024 across 70+ countries. LCOE Feasibility Simulator

As an example of tools that can be developed from my research and consultancy work, the interactive calculator below estimates the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) for power generation projects.

It allows a rapid economic feasibility test by incorporating parameters such as system degradation, solar irradiation conditions, and historical grid disruption patterns. This type of tool can support early-stage decision making before conducting detailed techno-economic studies.

Electricity Load Forecaster

Based on 👉 this paper, I developed a simple Electricity Load Forecaster for European countries.

It takes into consideration temperature, historical demand, and period of the year to estimate the daily electricity consumption. This is an example of what I can develop via machine learning using historical data. It showcases the type of services I can provide to governments and institutions looking to analyse the impact of specific geopolitical or technological disruptions on future demand.

Pumped Hydro and Wind Coupling Study

Another relevant example comes from 👉 this paper The study explores the revenue dynamics between wind generation and pumped-hydro storage, highlighting the additional financial value that can be achieved when storage is integrated with variable renewable energy sources. The analysis was performed using an in-house optimisation algorithm, providing a preliminary assessment of the economic benefits associated with coupling these technologies and illustrating how coordinated operation can enhance the overall value of renewable generation.

LFP Battery Degradation Explorer

Based on the work of Schimpe et al. (2018) 👉 this paper developed a simple battery degradation explorer that allows you to adjust temperature, state of charge and cycling to see how a 3 Ah LiFePO4 cell loses capacity over time. Pin scenarios to compare them side by side.
